The Government offers several funded childcare schemes for families in England. Kinder Kapers Too accepts all funded hours at our three settings in Dagenham RM9, Dagenham RM10, and Ilford IG2. Find the scheme that applies to your family below.

15 Hours Universal

Who qualifies: All 3 and 4-year-olds in England.

How much: 15 hours per week, 38 weeks per year.

When it starts: The term after your child’s third birthday.

How to apply: No application needed — just register your child with us and we’ll do the rest.

30 Hours Working Parents

Who qualifies: Eligible working families with 3 and 4-year-olds.

How much: 30 hours per week (an extra 15hrs on top of the universal 15).

Requirement: Both parents (or sole carer) must each earn the equivalent of 16 hours/week at the National Living Wage.

How to apply: Apply at childcarechoices.gov.uk — receive your code and share it with us.

2-Year Funding

Who qualifies: Eligible 2-year-olds from low-income families or those whose parents receive certain benefits.

How much: 15 hours per week, 38 weeks per year.

Benefits that qualify include: Universal Credit, Income Support, JSA, ESA, and others.

How to apply: Visit gov.uk or ask us — we’re happy to help you check eligibility.

9-Month Extended Offer

Who qualifies: Eligible working parents of children aged 9 months and over.

From: September 2025 onwards.

How much: Up to 30 hours per week for eligible working families.

Visit childcarechoices.gov.uk or gov.uk to find out which scheme you qualify for. It takes just a few minutes.

Get Your Funding Code

Once your application is approved online, you’ll receive a funding code. For 15-hour universal funding, no code is needed — just let us know.

Share It With Us

Give us your code when you enrol your child. We’ll process everything and your funded sessions start from the next term. Contact us with any questions.
